American Legion Grosse Pointe Post 303 is recognizing WWII Veterans

American Legion Grosse Pointe Post 303 is recognizing WWII Veterans by celebrating the 100th March birthday of one of our WWII veterans. PLEASE bring a WWII veteran to the celebration or join our post in recognition of WWII Veterans as a guest. We will also have 2 of our North High School Girls State 2023 scholarship winners and the State Winner of the American Legion High School Oratorical contest in February 2024. She goes on to  National for a possible $25000 scholarship. 

Our meeting begins at 715 pm on March 19th for a social hour followed a short business meeting and recognition/ celebration of WWII VETERANS, PIZZA on the POST, AND LOTS OF CAKE!!!

The location is 19730 Harper Woods Service Drive,  exit 224 Allard rd. off I94 . Harper Woods, zip 48225. We meet in Amvets Post 57 meeting hall.

Our Post will be honored by welcoming all veterans and especially WWII Veterans.

ZONE 1 CONTEST WINNER WAS Wisdom Love Walker from the 1st District.

Subject: ZONE 1 CONTEST WINNER WAS Wisdom Love Walker from the 1st District.

Commander Burnett, I am proud to announce that our contestant Wisdom Walker,home schooled, and from Detroit in the Corktown area in the first District received $500 and a gold medal for 1st place. She will go on to compete at the state contest in March. Details regarding state to follow. She is from the family of 8 all home schooled. We also going to do some serious coaching and support between now and the State Contest. Please forward on to the district membership.
