On Friday, June 13, 2025, a memorable Flag Day ceremony took place at the Northville Brookdale Assisted Living Facility, organized by a dedicated team from the American Legion. The event brought together members of the American Legion Post 32 Riders, who proudly showcased their commitment to honoring the nation's flag. Northville Township Police also joined in the commemoration, adding to the sense of community and respect. The ceremony was skillfully conducted by the American Legion Post 32 Honor Guard. They performed a poignant flag folding ceremony, meticulously demonstrating the proper way to fold the American flag, symbolizing the sacrifices made by those who have served. The solemn atmosphere was heightened by a rifle volley, an evocative tribute, followed by the haunting notes of taps, which echoed through the facility, honoring the bravery and dedication of American servicemen and women. The entire event served as a moving reminder of the values and freedoms that the flag represents.
